Initiativa Romania

Initiativa Romania (The Romania Initiative) is a civic platform born in the days of the uprising that followed the tragedy from Club Colectiv, on October 30, 2015. The tragedy, resulted in 65 deaths, revealed the consequences of corruption (see the famous slogan „Corruption kills”), coagulated the civic forces, and eventually led to the resignation of the prime minister and replacement of the government. A very active NGO, Initiativa Romania wants to inspire and support the citizens to build strong civic communities and promotes the practice of political power based on ethical coordinates. Thanks to the enthusiasm, energy and dedication of its volunteers, the Romania Initiative creates and develops projects which promote and facilitate open, transparent and responsible governance, anti-corruption and community building projects.

Looking back

The core team of Publicator, Diana Moldovan (Capatina) and Iulian Puiu, started under the name Reply in 2002.
In 2015, the team changed the name Reply into Publicator and continued the business as usual.
