Metro

Metro is the world leader in wholesale trade. It operates in 35 countries and counts over 150,000 employees worldwide and annual sales of approx. €37 billion (in 2017). Metro Cash & Carry Romania was officially launched in Romania in October 1996, with the opening of its first distribution center in Bucharest. Today, Metro has national distribution, counting 30 stores all over the country. After 10 years of producing in‐house the bi‐monthly set of food and non‐food catalogues, in 2006 the company decided to outsource the project. We put in place a dedicated graphic team of 9 people, and had the support of our editors, photographers and proofreader to create good‐quality content for the several category catalogues (collectively named METRO POST).

  • METRO POST: product catalogues (food and non‐food) summing up 180‐220 pages/edition that were published every two weeks

  • Theme / Seasonal / Special occasion / Category catalogues (Christmas, Easter, Football Championship, Sales, etc.)

Looking back

The core team of Publicator, Diana Moldovan (Capatina) and Iulian Puiu, started under the name Reply in 2002.
In 2015, the team changed the name Reply into Publicator and continued the business as usual.
